Simplification of construction law: New technical equipment in the construction of livestock facilities

In the dynamically changing agricultural sector, where rapid adaptation to market needs and animal welfare are key, bureaucratic barriers often slow down farm development. Thanks to initiatives by agricultural chambers in 2024 and the amendment to the construction law in 2025, farmers are gaining real support in expanding their infrastructure – from barns and pigsties to warehouses and feed tanks.

The new regulations allow the construction of farm buildings up to 150 m² without formalities, while agricultural tanks only require a notification. Photovoltaic installations up to 50 m² and cattle shelters can be installed without a permit, accelerating farm modernization and reducing administrative costs. These changes address the real needs of farmers, meeting the needs of the Wielkopolska Chamber of Agriculture and the National Council of Agricultural Chambers.

The amendment to the construction law in 2025 promotes the development of modern and competitive agriculture, facilitates the rapid adaptation of farms to production needs, and improves working conditions and animal welfare.
