Government announces new credit program in exchange for 2% safe credit

Consultations have begun on the “Housing for start” project, which aims to support borrowers wishing to purchase their first apartment. An amount of PLN 500 million has been allocated for this purpose in 2024, and the program is expected to launch as early as the second half of this year.

🏡 Who is the program intended for? Preferential loans will be available to singles up to the age of 35, as well as larger households – with no age restrictions. The program covers not only married couples, but also people in informal relationships. Support is also provided for singles intending to take a loan as a two-person household.

💰 Interest rates and loan repayment subsidies: Interest rates on loans will vary depending on the number of people in the family, and the program also provides for long-term loan repayment subsidies, lasting for 10 years.

📆 Duration of the program: The program envisages granting 50,000 preferential loans in 2024 and covers the period from 2024 to 2025. The cumulative cost is estimated at 12-13 billion zlotys over the course of the program.
